Deleting your Beacon Budget account removes all of your data for good. It is different from canceling your subscription, so read the warning below before you start.
How to delete your account
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the account section and tap Delete user.
- Confirm through the prompts. Beacon asks more than once on purpose, because this cannot be undone.
Deletion removes your budgets, transactions, accounts, and login. Once it is done, nothing can be recovered, and you would have to create a new account to use Beacon again.
Deleting does not cancel your subscription
This is the part people miss. Deleting your account does not stop your subscription billing. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first or you will keep getting charged. See cancel your Beacon Budget subscription for how. Beacon warns you during the delete flow if your subscription is still active, but it cannot cancel it for you.
A few other things to know
- Referral rewards are forfeited. Any pending or available referral rewards are lost when you delete. If you want to keep them, request a payout of your available balance first.
- Shared budgets. If you added a bank to a budget you share with someone, deleting your account disconnects that bank, but the transaction history you already shared stays with the budget’s owner.
